A few useful rules:
- If you can't tell, it doesn't matter.
- Knowing never makes anything better.
- You never get more than you pay for.
An astute friend has commented that these rules are primarily upper-bound
conditions. For those not mathematically inclined, these are the upper limits
of most things - when playing against the house, having it break even is the
most for which one can hope. This gives the entire list a somewhat cynical
feel, but such is life.
