I decided to have my entire back tattooed with a tiger stripe pattern. Why? I like cats, for starters. From a very young age I've had a very strong affiliation with felines, and this is an excellent expression of that. My first tattoo showed me that no one sees my back unless I want them to, so anything that I wouldn't show at work is really my secret. I like the idea of having a big secret hidden where only people I want can see it.

I went to Mind's Eye tattoo on University Way and asked for a sketch to be drawn up at the end of October. A week later, I went back and saw what Holly had done, and absolutely loved it. We started immediately; two and a half hours that night, and two more a couple nights later. Below is how it looked about six hours after the second session.

The third appointment went for almost four hours, three of which were actual needle time. This included the stripes on my ribs, which were fairly painful, but Holly told me I took it quite well.

Two final sessions to complete the original design. The first didn't go well - a cold, no sleep, and general agitation made me somewhat edgy. I took another week off, and had it finished up just before Christmas with a final three hour session.

As a general question, I'd like to know what people think of this, and how they got here. General comments can be directed here. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
